Chef on Board is a family business - we will not disclose or share your details with any third party.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998).
We collect information about you for two reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service.
We will give you the opportunity to refuse any marketing email from us in the future.
The type of information we will collect about you includes:
- your name
- address
- phone number
- email address
We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent.
The information we hold will be accurate and up-to-date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.
The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law.

Terms & Conditions
Complaints & Returns Policy
We trust you will not need to complain about our service or our food - and complaints are indeed extremely rare. However, if you have any reason to believe you are entitled to a refund please contact us at mail@chefonboard.com. Because we are a small company, you can be assured that any complaint will be dealt with quickly, confidentially and effectively. We will contact you within 2 working days and will do everything we can to resolve the complaint as quickly as possible. All complaints are recorded and systems and procedures reviewed and amended.
Confirmation of Order
Your order will be confirmed by email within 24 hours (orders placed at the weekend will be confirmed by 12 noon on Monday).
Delivery Commitment
We will always try to fulfil orders on the requested date of delivery. If for any reason this is not possible, we will contact you to arrange an alternative day, and give you the opportunity to amend or cancel your order.
Cancellation of orders
You have the right to cancel your order up until 9.30am the day before delivery. You must cancel by telephone. We reserve the right to pass on the card handling fee charged by our payment processor for issuing a refund.
Delivery
We use a reputable third party courier to deliver, and work closely with them to ensure orders are delivered on time. Delivery is Tuesday-Friday between 9am and 5.30pm.
When ordering gift meal boxes, customers must supply a contact number for the recipient. If not, Chef on Board cannot be held responsible for meals that defrost because the recipient did not find the delivery left for them at their property in time, for any reason: because they were away, not expecting it, etc.
Force Majeure
No liability will be accepted by Chef on Board for any failure or delay in delivery wholly or partially due to an Act of God, War, Fire, Explosion, Riot, Civil Commotion, Restriction by Government or the competent authority, Strikes, Lock Outs, Failure in Supplies or any cause beyond our control.
Delivery Charges
The minimum order is £35 excluding delivery. Our delivery charge is £6.95 for orders £35-£60, and free of charge for orders over £60. There are some parts of Scotland we cannot deliver to because the courier cannot guarantee next day delivery. if in doubt, please call before ordering.
We only deliver to mainland Britain (which excludes Northern Ireland). We reserve the right to pass on the card handling fee for making a refund to anyone who orders from overseas.
Payment & Receipts
Payment can be made via credit or debit card, subject to authority from the card issuer. We accept: Visa, Mastercard, Switch, Solo, JCB and Delta. Online payments are made via WorldPay, the leading online payment processor, using the very latest in privacy and security technology. You will receive an online receipt of payment when you place an order.
Retention of Title
Chef on Board remains the rightful owner of all products dispatched and delivered until they are paid for in full.
Our Rights
We reserve the right to change or remove without notice the information on this website. Prices, goods and availability of products are subject to change at any time. Chef on Board Ltd also reserves the right to withdraw its service at any time, to refuse the service to any customer and to amend these Terms & Conditions.
