Chef on Board was founded by Jonathan & Olivia Parker in 1999. After 10 years in publishing, Jonathan heeded the call of the kitchen and retrained as a chef at the world-famous Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland, before settling in Herefordshire and setting up Chef on Board.
The business started in Jonathan's own kitchen, delivering a few prepared meals to a local village shop first and then to a few more shops in the area. A year later the online business started and began delivering a range of ready meals to shops and homes all over the country. In 2006, with business and family expanding rapidly, he moved into dedicated premises, allowing his family back into the kitchen.
In May 2021 Chef On Board relocated to Cornwall and continues to make great handmade meals.
