Cancelling & Refunding

As the Coronavirus Pandemic develops, it is possible that we will encounter both supply issues and problems with delivery as and when stricter measures are brought in. There may well also be an issue with keeping up with demand, as we are only a small producer.

As such, we may have to reduce our menu, substitute products or delay deliveries in order to manage stock as best we can. We will of course endeavour to keep customers fully informed of any changes or delays to orders, and would be grateful for your patience and understanding on this.

We are still also sending out our Gift Vouchers, which are valid for a year. If such a time comes when delivery (of meals boxes) is not possible for a period, then this period will of course be added on to the life of the voucher.

Please note that during the period of the COVID-19 Pandemic, Chef on Board will not accept responsibility for, nor offer any refund due to, defrosting or spoliation of meals resulting from delay in delivery by the third party courier beyond the normal deadline of 5pm on the day after dispatch, for any reason over which we have no control.

1. This policy sets out the Cancellation & Refund policy for goods or services purchased through the online store operated by Chef on Board.

2. We trust you will not need to complain about our service or our food - and complaints are indeed extremely rare. However, if you have any reason to complain, please contact us at mail@chefonboard.com. Because we are a small company, you can be assured that any such complaint will be dealt with quickly, confidentially and efficiently. We will contact you within two working days and will take all the appropriate steps to resolve the complaint as quickly as possible. Any complaints are recorded and our systems and procedures reviewed and amended as necessary.

3. You have the right to cancel your order up until 9am the day before delivery. You must cancel by calling us on 01981 250494. We reserve the right to pass on the card handling fee charged by our payment processor for issuing a refund.

4. It is not our policy to offer refunds on unused vouchers.
